On the one-shot zero-error classical capacity of classical-quantum channels assisted by quantum non-signalling correlations

چکیده
Duan and Winter studied the one-shot zero-error classical capacity of a quantum channel assisted by quantum non-signalling correlations, and formulated this problem as a semidefinite program depending only on the Kraus operator space of the channel. For the class of classical-quantum channels, they showed that the asymptotic zero-error classical capacity assisted by quantum non-signalling correlations, minimized over all classical-quantum channels with a confusability graph G, is exactly log θ(G), where θ(G) is the celebrated Lovász theta function. In this paper, we show that the same result holds in the one-shot setting for a class of circulant graphs defined by equal-sized cyclotomic cosets, which include the cycle graphs of odd length, the Paley graphs of prime vertices, and the cubit residue graphs of prime vertices. Examples of other graphs are also discussed. This endows the Lovász θ function with a more straightforward operational meaning.

Quantum non-signalling assisted zero-error classical capacity of qubit channels
In this paper, we explicitly evaluate the one-shot quantum non-signalling assisted zero-error classical capacities M 0 for qubit channels. In particular, we show that for nonunital qubit channels, M QNS 0 = 1, which implies that in the one-shot setting, nonunital qubit channels cannot transmit any information with zero probability of error even when assisted by quantum non-signalling correlatio...
متن کاملZero-Error Classical Channel Capacity and Simulation Cost Assisted by Quantum Non-Signalling Correlations
We study the one-shot zero-error classical capacity of quantum channels assisted by quantum non-signalling correlations, and the reverse problem of simulation. Both lead to simple semi-definite programmings whose solutions can be given in terms of the conditional min-entropies. We show that the asymptotic simulation cost is precisely the conditional min-entropy of the Choi-Jamiołkowski matrix o...

متن کامل2 Remarks on the classical capacity of quantum channel ∗
A direct proof of the relation between the one-shot classical capacity and the minimal output entropy for covariant quantum channels is suggested. The structure of covariant channels is described in some detail. A simple proof of a general inequality for entanglement-assisted classical capacity is given. 1. Let Φ be a quantum channel in a Hilbert space H of finite dimension-ality d, ¯ C (1) (Φ)...
متن کاملOn converse bounds for classical communication over quantum channels
We explore several new converse bounds for classical communication over quantum channels in both the one-shot and asymptotic regime. First, we show that the MatthewsWehner meta-converse bound for entanglement-assisted classical communication can be achieved by activated, no-signalling assisted codes, suitably generalizing a result for classical channels. Second, we derive a new efficiently comp...
